Peter McMahon is leaving MTA SA to join Car Craft as its new general manager.
Noelle Simons is relinquishing the role to spend more time with her family but will still be involved with Car Craft Perth Smash Repairs, which she has helped to steer for eight years. McMahon joins Car Craft as it is poised to become a nationwide affiliation group.
“I am excited about this opportunity and look forward to continuing the excellent job achieved by Noelle.” said McMahon
“The last eight years for me at MTA SA have been fantastic and I have enjoyed every minute working with great people dedicated to being there for the members and I also want to highlight the AMBRA delegates who really don’t get the recognition they deserve, but the opportunity to lead a group such as Car Craft doesn’t come along every day.
“The industry is facing great change and I believe organisations such as Car Craft Bumper Repairs Perth are a vital for independent car repairers.
“Recent articles about four great panel beating families highlight the consolidators but not the independent family owned businesses who are part of a group of like-minded business owners and collectively Car Craft is the fifth family and I would say the biggest and still growing,” he said.
As well as his role at business development manager at MTA SA, McMahon has also been chairman of the Code Administration Committee.
“ I have enjoyed being involved in the code’s development and its recent external review and I am confident, that when released to the industry, it will pave the way for more open dealings between insurers and repairers.”
